Founded in 1987, AFT expanded into its innovative Thixomolding®, a magnesium alloy molding process in 1997. With the commitment of our parent company, Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) a multi-billion dollar international company specializing in aerospace components, AFT has maintained the competitive advantage that benefits our many clients.

Our two large metal injection manufacturing centers in Longmont, Colorado and Retsag, Hungary, are identical in equipment, allowing dual sourcing when required.

We run more than 46 metal injection molding machines, 14 sintering furnaces and 4 de-binding units in more than 160,000 square feet of manufacturing space. No competitor approaches this level of capacity. We use JSW and Battenfeld Injection Molding Machines.

AFT’s metal injection molding machines are equipped with three- and four-axis robotics, to ensure consistent cycle time, and consistent processes. We also maintain an on-site machine shop to build and maintain tooling.

Quality Processes, Technology and People

AFT maintains ISO certification and Six Sigma Process Control for the highest level of quality and accuracy. We are AS9100-certified for Aerospace Components, ISO 13485-certified for the Medical Components Industry, and ISO/TS 16949-certified for the Automotive Components Industry.

Our headquarters in Longmont, Colorado is just minutes from downtown Denver and the beautiful Colorado Front Range.
